Since that time we met quite often, and it is hard to believe, than J-M is not going to be there anymore. In the early years it was hard to believe that J-M, with all his stunts (like his viking helmet, wearing shorts in freezing cold weather etc. etc.) was also a brilliant technical mind. | Jan-Martin
was a fond user of our forum and always had questioans and many answers
about local ww2 history. He wandered around with his GPS and gave us
excact locations on every fort or ww2 military installation near
Kristiansand. He was specially interested in radio and radar positions,
and provided us all with valuable information about different models,
locations, etc. We will certainly miss Jan-Martin Nøding at our forum.

Hälsningar SM7WT Sten Gülich i Dalby, Sverige |

| One
of my first memories of Jan-Martin was when I deal with him about the
“Step-Up” converter he made for to use with old roll tape-recorders
when we started to work Meteor Scatter traffic.
I should be happy if there was a “Step-Down” converter to use, from where you are now Jan-Martin! |

| This
is with surprise and sorrow I read about Jan\'s sudden passing.
Together with my late father Marc F9FT we had several contacts with him
on 144, 432 and 1296 MHz, in the early 80\'s. Sure Jan, you will be
missed, but you will not be forgotten.

very interesting topics. Today I saw the bad news on vhfdx.de making me sad. He was competent, critical, open, experienced and helpful. We will miss him. |

| Jan-Martin, we will continue our exchange of emails on another level of reality, one day. And that day we will be together with all our friend radioamateurs, for a giant and choral QSO, with no QSB nor QRM. That will be the day of the ethernal joy and happiness. | |

Takk for all hjelp og vennskap.

| I
hoped to meet Jan-Martin again in three weeks in Annaboda - the guy
whom you easily found at the Weinheim VHF meetings as he was always
wearing shorts (in late September in Germany!) and being one head
taller than all other people.
Now I learn that for our next QSO, radio waves have to travel a very long path. |

| Having
just returned from one weeks holiday, I was devastated to hear of
Jan-Martin\'s death. Having been interested in weak signal VHF for many
years, many of his designs and theory were required reading to the
newbie VHF DXer.
I pass my condolences to his family. A great man has left us and being only a few years behind him, it serves to make one realise ones mortality. RIP. |
